What We Do

WOMEN ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION

Preventable and treatable diseases present an enormous health burden for communities in the developing world; still causing immeasurable impacts on populations living in extreme poverty because they usually live in unhygienic conditions, have low-levels of health awareness, and fail to seek proper treatment.

EDUCATION

To provide school fees assistance to child headed families; Grant Parent headed families, Orphaned and Vulnerable Children of poor and marginalized communities. Addressing the educational needs and constraints of the community particularly the low income earners who often have to do with poor education delivery system.

AGRICULTURE

To carry out long term food security Interventions, using drought and climate change mitigating mechanisms, so as to maintain a vibrant household food supply basket for poor and marginalized communities of Rwenzori, whilst increasing House hold incomes, in a sustainable manner.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

To carry out long term environment protection programs, such as recycling of waste, waste removal and management, awareness campaigns in all communities of Rwenzori, so as to avoid pollution and general degradation of scarce land for food production.

BODY AND HEALTH RIGHTS

Affirming the right of diverse African women and girls to full bodily integrity, autonomy and health. Supporting interventions that help prevent violence and ill health; promoting recognition of women’s ownership of their own bodies and enjoyment of full health; and responding to women’s bodily rights and health injustices and concerns.

EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN (1)

Hope for Women Uganda embarked on vocational training in carpentry, tailoring, art and craft, basket weaving, knitting and mechanics to empower the vulnerable i.e. young mothers, widows and school drop outs. Through this project 425 beneficiaries have fully acquired skills in vocational skills in tailoring, knitting, basket making and art and craft. We received funds from Luana foundation.
